NHTSA Awards 2015 Chevy Camaro 5-Star Safety Rating

COCOA, Flor. – The 2015 Chevy Camaro hasn't even hit the streets yet and it's already earning top safety ratings! Thanks to it's standard safety equipment and crash avoidance systems the NHTSA awarded the 2015 Chevy Camaro a 5-star safety rating!

According to a recent report by Edmunds, the NHTSA awarded the 2015 Chevy Camaro a 5-star safety rating for the front, side, and rollover crash tests! Standard safety features on the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro include six airbags in the coupe model (including side curtain airbags), four airbags in the convertible model, and crash avoidance technologies like the rear vision camera system and electronic stability control.

Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car

COCOA, Flor.– It's the greatest spectacle in racing, and who better to pace the race than two Indy 500 legends? It has just been announced that the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is the 2014 Indianapolis 500 pace car and three-time Indy 500 champion, Dario Franchitti will be behind the wheel. A match made on the track, Franchitti will pace the 98th running of the race on May 25th in the new Camaro Z/28.

This will be the 25th time Chevrolet has been selected to pace the big race, and the 8th time that Chevy was a Camaro, marking a significant point in Chevrolet's long standing Indianapolis Motor Speedway history. However, it also kicks off a new role for Franchitti with Chip Ganassi Racing for the Chevy-powered 2014 IndyCar season.
